Con la voz entrecortada, Mirta Sánchez y su esposo, Miguel Angel Cruz, admiten que el barrio ya no será el mismo sin Mario “Malevo” Ferreyra. “Era una persona muy buena”, señaló el matrimonio. La finca de San Andrés donde el ex comisario pasó sus últimos días no tiene demasiados vecinos. Pero todos ellos aseguran que tenían buena relación con Ferreyra. “Todos lo conocían y lo querían. A veces, iba por algunas casas de visita”, indicó Leonardo Alvarez. Según contaron a LA GACETA, “El Malevo” solía levantarse temprano, y podía vérselo en la entrada de su finca, regando las plantas con una manguera y dándole de beber a sus animales. Sus vecinos aseguran que van a extrañarlo, y que era muy atento. “Nuestra hija tuvo un problema de salud y él estuvo para ayudarnos. No sólo nos llevó al hospital, sino que además nos prestó plata para los remedios. Cuando quisimos saldar la deuda, él no nos aceptó el dinero. ‘Para eso están los vecinos’, nos dijo”, señaló Mirta Sánchez. Finalmente, la mujer señaló: “para mi nieta, él era ‘el Tata’.
